Privacy Policy

Together is built to feel private by default. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Last updated: March 8, 2026

1. Introduction

Together ("we," "our," or "us") is designed to give two people in a relationship a private place to connect, play, and preserve shared memories. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have when you use our website, waitlist, and mobile application.

We aim to collect only the information we need to operate the product, protect the service, and improve the experience.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up or join the waitlist, we may collect your email address and other contact details you submit. Authentication credentials are handled securely through our authentication providers, including Firebase where applicable.

Pairing data. We process the codes, links, and identifiers needed to pair you with your partner and maintain your shared space for two.

Shared content and memory data. We store game progress, quiz answers, results, prompts, and other content you and your partner create so that your shared history remains available across sessions and devices. As the product expands, this may include media such as voice notes, photos, and collaborative drawings.

Location data. Location sharing is optional and action-based. We only receive location information when you intentionally choose to share it, such as during a manual check-in. We do not use continuous background location tracking for this feature.

Device and service data. We may collect limited technical information such as device type, app version, browser type, IP address, crash diagnostics, and basic usage logs to secure, maintain, and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, authenticate access, and maintain the paired experience between you and your partner.

To support both real-time and asynchronous gameplay, sync shared state across devices, and reconcile activity when users move between offline and online modes.

To deliver core product features such as invitations, reminders, notifications, saved memories, and shared archives.

To monitor reliability, prevent abuse, investigate security issues, and improve product performance and usability.

To communicate with you about account access, service updates, waitlist status, support requests, and other essential operational messages.

4. Data Ownership, Privacy, and Sharing

Together is built around private shared spaces, not public social feeds. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make your relationship activity public.

We treat paired spaces as shared environments. That means certain content, game history, and memory data may be visible to both partners in the pair because that is core to how the product works.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the product, such as hosting, analytics, authentication, cloud storage, notification, and customer support vendors. Those providers may access information only as needed to perform services on our behalf.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect users and the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account and shared-content data only for as long as your account or paired space remains active and as needed to operate the service, maintain system integrity, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Users can delete their account directly from within the app. When an account is deleted, we delete the associated user data and shared content tied to that account deletion workflow.

Limited residual copies may persist for a short period in backups or security logs before they are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to use appropriately secured infrastructure and access controls for the data we manage.

7. Children's Privacy

Together is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and may provide additional notice when appropriate.
